Pet Photography

Honest portraits of the ones who can't sit still for a normal photo.
Project Highlights

They won't hold still, and that's the point.

Same approach as everything else I shoot — no forced poses, no bribing them into a stare at the camera. We go somewhere they actually like being, whether that's the beach, the woods, or your own back garden, and I photograph them being themselves.
Dogs, cats, horses, the odd chicken — if they're part of the family, they're worth photographing properly.

Pet Session FAQ

My dog is nervous or reactive — is that a problem?

Not at all. Tell me beforehand and we'll plan around it — quieter locations, more time, no rushing.

Do you photograph cats?

Yes, usually at home where they're relaxed. Cats mostly dictate the session on their own terms, which is fine by me.

Can we do a session with multiple pets, or pets and family together?

Yes — just let me know the full cast when you enquire so I can plan enough time.

Should I bring treats or toys?

Please do — their favourites are usually the best way to get a genuine reaction rather than a stare at a stranger.

What if the weather doesn't cooperate?

Same policy as every other session — we reschedule at no extra cost if conditions aren't workable.

Ready when they are.

Send a message with a bit about your pet and we'll find a time that suits.
