My natural family photography usually involves a day outside and my best portraits tend to occur when we’re visiting local nature reserves, adventure playgrounds or just favourite family spots. I do this so that your children (and you!) are utterly pre-occupied during the portraiture session, this allows me to capture very natural, relaxed and fun family photography. It’s worth mentioning that fun is always at the very heart of my portrait photography!
My aim is that my portraits accurately document your family dynamic. I do this so that you have an incredible heirloom for you and your children to look back on in many years to come.

I create most of my natural family portrait photography outdoors and in a variety of locations – I have so many favourite forests, coastlines and parks across the Causeway Coast for these very relaxed portraiture sessions.
I’ve been a professional portrait photographer for many years working with many families and children of all ages, as well as plenty of babies and newborns.
Unlike some family portrait photographers, I aim to avoid anything staged or forced. Instead, I photograph my portraits in the same natural and authentic documentary-style photography.
I want the portrait photography of your family to be as honest and believable as possible. I shoot mostly in black and white during these family sessions as I find it helps to convey the genuine personalities, atmosphere and fun over and above colour, which can often be distracting.
That said, I do appreciate a beautiful colour portrait, especially when working with families in amongst nature during Spring and Autumn.
